You are looking at this FENDER SQUIER ST-331 STRATOCASTER BLACK/RED MADE IN JAPAN HEAVY AGED RELIC. This is Squier by Fender Japan ST-331 Boxer Series aka Contemporary Stratocaster, medium scale. E serial number (made in 1983). Manufactured in the heyday of MIJ mega metal. This baby was made in the legendary Fuji-Gen Gakki, which was a surprisingly high quality period for Fender Japan. Build quality is on par or superior than the USA builds.


Crafted and designed by Woody. This one has the unique look. He spent countless hours on all of our products to get this unique look. This is one of a kind with the heavy relic look. Woody has added so many of his personal touches to this guitar. Check out the tiny little details on the guitar, that shows how much effort we put on each of our product. It has natural players patina with aging on the hardware and other plastic parts. The neck is nice and straight with comfortable, low action. Which is suitable for any playing style. The relic finish on the body was done with a Nitrocellulose Lacquer. Plays and sounds awesome with the EMG-81 Humbucking active pickup. This baby is a high-output pickup designed especially for the lead guitarist. The 81 is at its best for high volume overdrive and amps with a master volume. Whether you’re playing power rock /n/ roll, or overdriving your amp, there’s a razor sharp attack, and incredible sustain for brilliant soloing. This humbucking pickup will make your leads slice through even the densest mix.  Not to mention that the distortion during lead passages is consistent, sustain is long and breakup fades smoothly. The ceramic magnet in combination with wide aperture steel poles lend a quick attack but the tone stays nice and fat at the same time. Perfect if you’re the only guitarist in the band, and need to switch from rhythm to lead and still keep the band moving. Another great thing about the EMG-81 is its quiet. If you’re playing at really high gain the last thing you need noise.
